About this piece
An astronaut on a mechanical horse, mid-buck, against burnt orange and deep navy, framed by the kind of vintage rodeo lettering you would find on a county fair poster.
It is absurd on purpose and drawn seriously, which is the combination that makes it land. The joke is in the premise, never in the execution.
The design
The structure is borrowed from real rodeo poster design — a heavy display face arched over the scene, the figure caught at the peak of the buck, flat colour behind instead of any attempt at realism. The type matters as much as the illustration, and on a hoodie panel it has the width to arch properly.
Burnt orange against deep navy only holds if both stay saturated. Thin ink turns the orange dusty and the navy grey, and the poster quality collapses into something that merely looks faded. Printed dense on a light fleece ground, both colours keep full strength.

For people who like humour in their graphics without it being a slogan, and for anyone who appreciates vintage poster design regardless of the subject matter.
The warm palette sits better with denim and earth tones than with all-black. Light-wash jeans, tan or white footwear. Plain back, so a jacket over the top works fine.

Weight is what buys the drape. At 300 GSM there is enough body for the fabric to fall away from the chest rather than wrap it, which is the whole difference between an oversized cut that looks deliberate and one that looks like the wrong size. There is no flat measurement chart for this hoodie yet and we are not going to substitute the tee figures, because a 300 GSM hooded piece is cut to different proportions entirely. Printing, care and how long it lasts
Care is three rules: cold, inside out, no dryer. That is genuinely most of it. Bleach and fabric softener both shorten a print’s life, and an iron pressed directly onto artwork will finish it in one pass. The print itself is high-density and bonded into the cotton. How do I keep the orange from dulling?
Cold water, inside out, no bleach, and line dry in shade rather than direct sun. Warm tones are the first to go from heat, and one hot dryer cycle does more damage than months of wear.
Is the back printed?
No, the back is plain. The front carries the complete poster composition.
Is the weathered look a sign of a thin print?
No — the vintage quality is drawn into the artwork itself. The ink is laid down dense, and the piece is meant to stay exactly as it arrived rather than fading further.
