About this piece
A row of rising signal bars where the tallest bar has stopped being a bar and started being a plant — two small leaves sprouting from the top of it, with ‘slow signal’ set underneath in quiet lowercase.
It is the only piece in our minimal line with a visual joke in it rather than just a phrase, and it is the one people tend to work out a second after they notice it.
The design
The whole idea lives in one substitution. Four bars climb in the usual way and then the fifth sprouts, which turns a reception indicator into something about growing rather than connecting. Nothing else in the composition draws attention to the swap — the bars stay plain rectangles and the caption stays small.
Solid black shapes on white look like the easiest thing to print and are not. Hard-edged rectangles show any softness at the corners immediately, and the seedling’s two leaves taper to fine points that a thin print would round off into blobs. Dense ink keeps the bars crisp and the leaf tips sharp, which is what holds the joke together.
Who it’s for and how to wear it
For people who left the city for a week and thought about not coming back, plant keepers, and anyone who likes a graphic that rewards a second look instead of shouting on the first.

There is a specific way cheap oversized clothing fails: right in the photo, wrong on the third wear, because a light blank has nothing holding it up. A 240 GSM blank does. Fit and sizing
Your normal size gives the drape this was cut for. People who size up out of habit usually end up with more length than they wanted. Flat chest measurements run 42, 44, 46 and 48 inches from S to XL, with lengths of 27.5 through 30.5, half an inch either way. High-density direct print: the ink bonds into the cotton with a slight raised edge rather than sitting on top as a film that can peel.
