It is the warmest, least aggressive piece in this drop, and the one most likely to be bought by somebody who does not otherwise wear graphic tees.

The design

Two illustration traditions are running at once here, deliberately. The radio is technical — straight lines, accurate dial numerals, the fine mesh of the speaker grille — while the plants are loose and botanical, the way a field guide plate is drawn, with visible leaf veining and petals that overlap rather than sit flat.

The plants win. They come through the casing rather than resting against it, which is what makes this read as reclamation rather than decoration.

The speaker grille is the technical trap. It is a fine regular mesh, and regular patterns are where the eye catches any imprecision instantly — a print that spreads even slightly fills the mesh in until it becomes a flat grey rectangle, and the radio stops looking like an object. Dense, controlled ink keeps the grille open.

Who it’s for and how to wear it

For plant people, anyone with a weakness for vintage electronics, and the broader group who want something with warmth in it rather than another black graphic tee.

The burgundy and olive palette wants earth tones rather than black — light denim, cream, tan or olive bottoms all sit better with it than a full dark fit. It is one of the easier pieces here to wear in warm weather.

Fine regular patterns like that speaker mesh need an even, stable surface underneath them, because any texture in the fabric competes with the pattern in the print. On a loose lightweight blank the two interfere and the grille turns to noise. Fit and sizing

The composition is centred and compact, so it reads correctly across a wider range of sizes than the tall designs in this drop — your usual size is still the right call, since the pattern is oversized before you choose anything. The measurements on this page describe the garment laid flat, not your body: 42 inches across the chest at S through 48 at XL, lengths 27.5 to 30.5 from the high shoulder point, allow half an inch either way. How the print ages, and how to slow it down

Burgundy is a deep, slightly muted red, and its trouble is that it fades toward brown rather than toward pink — the shift is subtle enough that you notice the flowers looking tired without immediately knowing why. Heat causes it. Cold water, turned inside out, no bleach and no fabric softener, line dry in shade rather than direct sun. On a light blank it also pays to treat marks quickly rather than letting them set. The print is bonded into the cotton with a slight raised texture rather than sitting on top as a film, so it flexes with the fabric; heat is what breaks that relationship.
